No Port
Date published: 22nd of May, 2023
Origin: 'If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable'
- Seneca, Meditations.
Meaning: Start with an end in mind. Your process can change with the winds, but ultimately, without an port in mind to reach, all winds are resistance and a goal cannot be attained as there is no marker for success to surpass.
We agree and additionally posit that, keeping 'no port' front of mind returns us to the present. The process itself becoming the goal, riding and sailing the seas in all it brings, not treading water purely to reach the destination, but that the treading itself is the experience to be sought.
