What is French Terry Fabric? French Terry cotton is a knit fabric that has loops on one side and a smooth surface on the other. This can be seen on our vintage-wash sweatshirt fabric surrounding the collar.

What is french terry used for? French terry was created for sportswear, originating from France in the 19th century. Thus, the 'French' component to the name is understandable.

Today, our French Terry ranges in thickness between 215 GSM with our T-Shirts, and up to 480 GSM (14oz) or Grams Square Metre in our Hoodies, Sweatshirts, and Trackpants. Inherently moisture wicking, French Terry Cotton works best for when wanting to stay warm in winter, and dry in summer.
